Job Summary

The Indirect Sustainability Sourcing Consultant will play a key role in driving McDonald's sustainability agenda, focusing on indirect sourcing and procurement. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement sustainable sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's 2025, 2030, and 2050 targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable sourcing plans, working closely with the Supply Chain team and external consultants.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate environmental and social risks associated with indirect sourcing.
  • Manage energy procurement and renewable energy strategies, including power purchase agreements and on-site generation opportunities.
  • Oversee the Full Circle Waste (FCW) initiative, ensuring successful transition and meeting recycling targets.
  • Commercially manage FCW, including oversight of material commodity value and return on facility investment.
  • Assess FCW KPIs and supplier performance to embed, amend, or update deliverables.
  • Manage other indirect and sustainability-impacting supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Foster teamwork and coordination among major suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Champion change and encourage flexibility and agility within the team.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and procurement principles.
  • Experience in FMCG or retail, with a focus on sustainability and procurement.
  • Strong communication and prioritization skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to meet goals, targets, and deliver business plan objectives.
  • Proactive and result-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and supplier development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to take initiative, innovate, and remain open to new ideas.
  • Resilient, resourceful, and adaptable, with a focus on delivering results in a dynamic environment.
