Job Summary
The Indirect Sustainability Sourcing Consultant will play a key role in driving McDonald's sustainability agenda, focusing on indirect sourcing and procurement. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement sustainable sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's 2025, 2030, and 2050 targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable sourcing plans, working closely with the Supply Chain team and external consultants.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate environmental and social risks associated with indirect sourcing.
- Manage energy procurement and renewable energy strategies, including power purchase agreements and on-site generation opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring compliance with McDonald's sustainability standards.
- Provide recommendations to the Head of Supply Chain on actions required to meet sustainability targets.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in sustainable sourcing and procurement.
Requirements
- Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and procurement principles.
- Experience in FMCG or retail, with a focus on sustainability and procurement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercial acumen and ability to drive business outcomes.
- Proactive and result-driven, with a focus on delivering business plan objectives.
