Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Strategic Transformation Director to join Insight Executive Group (IEG) and lead the development of a comprehensive Operational Excellence Framework for a major healthcare redevelopment project. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare delivery by working on a project that is integral to the transformation of the UK's healthcare system.
The Operational Excellence Leader will ensure that the project's new infrastructure is designed and aligned with the latest healthcare standards, sustainability targets, and the organization's long-term strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a Target Operating Model for the new healthcare facility, ensuring alignment with national healthcare standards, sustainability goals, and the organization's clinical and operational strategies.
- Oversee the integration of clinical services with the new facility's infrastructure, ensuring seamless collaboration between clinical, operational, and corporate teams.
- Develop and implement Programme Success Criteria, monitoring progress and ensuring business case benefits and outcomes are met within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare partners and national bodies, to drive the project forward.
- Lead on the identification and delivery of Critical Success Factors for the overall project, engaging in research, innovation, and best practice to inform project delivery.
- Support the Deputy Programme Director in overseeing the multi-year project, tracking benefits realization and aligning with broader organizational priorities.
Requirements
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced programme leader with a deep understanding of strategic healthcare transformation, particularly in the context of large-scale capital development projects. The successful candidate will bring proven leadership skills and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, while aligning operational solutions to key strategic goals such as healthcare sustainability targets and organizational objectives.
Key Requirements:
- Educated to master's level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience at a senior leadership level in a comparable role, such as Strategic Transformation Director.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development with up-to-date knowledge of major national healthcare programmes.
- Extensive experience managing large and complex projects, particularly in the healthcare or public sector, with a track record of delivering successful transformation initiatives.
- Strong ability to engage and manage a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring collaborative, co-designed solutions are developed and implemented.
This role requires someone who can navigate complex systems, bring innovative solutions to longstanding challenges, and foster collaboration to deliver world-class patient care in a state-of-the-art healthcare facility.
