About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic HR Director to lead our HR team and drive strategic initiatives that support our workforce and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and innovate the HR and Payroll Service to the organisation
  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that support our workforce and community
  • Oversee key HR services and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
  • Guide the council through complex organisational changes, ensuring alignment with our values
  • Engage with colleagues across the organisation to understand issues and challenges and help resolve these

About You

We are looking for a strong HR professional with experience in operating at senior level, who can advise and influence all levels of the organisation and operate as the lead expert on HR matters.

You will have a flexible approach, be able to balance multiple priorities and understand the importance of working collaboratively.

A strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into action, you will have a strong generalist HR Background, but will have gained experience in cultural and organisational change; and an understanding of employee relations; reward and employee engagement.
