About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to lead the procurement of goods and services for the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the Trust's objectives and NHS procurement policies.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance to deliver value, quality, and efficiency.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and support the delivery of the Trust's non-pay savings targets through the development of key supplier strategies.
  • Support the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain by deputising and contributing to the Trust's overall procurement transformation agenda.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience at a senior procurement manager level.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
  • Evidence of continued personal and professional development (CPD).
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager in a similar commercial role.
  • A minimum of 3 years management experience in a similar role.
  • Experience managing staff across a multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of using IT Procurement solutions at an advanced level for Contract Management, e-tendering, catalogue Management and Inventory Management.
