About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to join our team at Fleet Education Services. As a SEN Tutor, you will provide one-to-one and small group tuition to students with special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and dyslexia or dyspraxia.

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience, and a commitment to safeguarding. You will be responsible for creating lesson plans, delivering tuition, and monitoring student progress. You will also collaborate with students' guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.

We offer a competitive weekly remuneration through PAYE, control over your workload, and ongoing training opportunities that count towards your CPD. You will also have access to a dedicated Tuition Consultant who will work closely with you to ensure you have as much work as you are able to fulfill.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire, and teach.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with students' guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance through our virtual learning platform.
Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
