About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English Tutor to join our team at Fleet Education Services. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners who require dedicated, in-person support to achieve their academic goals.

Our learners may present with complex learning requirements, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Childhood Trauma. We are looking for a Tutor who is experienced in working with students who have these needs and can provide a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire, and teach.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with learner guardians/teachers to ensure academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
