About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Acupuncturist to join our interdisciplinary team at STEPS Rehabilitation, a purpose-built 23-bedroom rehabilitation facility in Sheffield. As an Acupuncturist, you will play a vital role in providing holistic therapy to our clients undergoing rehabilitation, helping them manage pain, anxiety, and promote physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acupuncture services to clients, working within your sphere of competency and in line with professional procedures and guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, including nurses, rehabilitation assistants, physiotherapists, and other therapists, to deliver comprehensive care and rehabilitation.
- Assess client needs and develop treatment plans in partnership with clients and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of therapy, modifying plans as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with clients, carers, and the STEPS team about the benefits and side effects of acupuncture.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous documentation, adhering to STEPS standards.
- Participate in clinical audits and research, as directed by a supervising therapist.
Person Specification
- Essential:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant field.
- Experience working with people with care and/or rehabilitation needs.
- Desirable:
- Experience working with people with complex care needs.
- Experience communicating with people with complex communication needs.
- Client record/note keeping experience.
- Understanding of CQC Regulations and the Health and Social Care Act.
