Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Parent-Infant Therapist to join our team at Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating families allocated to them within the context of a multidisciplinary U5s CAMHS team.

This role requires a deep understanding of infant mental health and attachment theory, as well as experience working with complex cases. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with clients, their families, carers, and other professional colleagues.

The key skills and qualifications required for this position include:

  • A Master's degree in Clinical Child Psychotherapy or a related field.
  • Postgraduate training in Parent-Infant Psychotherapy accredited by the BPC/UKCP.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents across a range of clinical severities and complexities.

This role offers a competitive salary of £43,041 - £70,798 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Team

The Parent-Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS) is a new service being developed in Brent, which will offer support to infants in the first two years of life with mild, moderate or severe mental and emotional health needs, and their mothers in the first two years postpartum who have mild to moderate mental health concerns past or present.

The service will be delivered by a multidisciplinary team consisting of a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, a Lead Parent-Infant Psychotherapist, a Senior-Parent Infant Psychotherapist, two Parent-Infant Psychotherapists, and an Assistant Psychotherapist.
