Child Development Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Child Development Therapist to join our team at the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in child development and infant mental health, with experience in providing clinical therapy and conducting assessments. They will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based child development programs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child development, infant mental health, and perinatal mental health, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands to meet deadlines.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement evidence-based child development programs
- Provide clinical therapy and conduct assessments to identify developmental delays or disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery
- Contribute to research and audit initiatives in child development and infant mental health
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service outcomes

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum

Key Qualifications and SkillsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Masters-level preclinical training at an Association of Child Psychotherapists recognized training school
- Postgraduate doctoral-level training in clinical child psychotherapy at a training school accredited by the Association of Child Psychotherapy or Association of Child Psychotherapists Statement of Equivalence
- Training in Parent-Infant Psychotherapy accredited by the BPC/UKCP
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of infant mental health, child development, and perinatal mental health
