About the Role

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Development Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an accessible, person-centered, effective, needs-led SLT service to the 0-5 age population and their families.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and team-working skills who are seeking to develop and broaden their clinical experience of working with preschool children in a dynamic and supportive team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Clinical Governance and principles and models of Adult-Child Interaction, as well as excellent communication skills both verbal, non-verbal and written.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide assessment, diagnosis, suitable intervention and discharge for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) on the caseload.
  • To work closely with children, parents, carers and multi-disciplinary team members across Health, Social Services, Education and Children's Services to identify and support children's Speech, Language and Communication Needs as relevant to the post.
  • To understand and meet professional and legal SEND responsibilities outlined in the Children and Families Act 2014 including contributing to statutory assessments of special educational needs and delivery of Speech and Language Therapy provision as specified in children's Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 - £41,000 per annum, depending on experience.
