Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As an Education Mental Health Practitioner/CWP, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties in educational settings.
Key Responsibilities- Work in partnership with schools to support children, young people, and their families in the self-management of presenting difficulties.
- Deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions, as well as whole school approaches, to promote mental health and wellbeing.
- Conduct robust assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and reviews to ensure effective support and intervention.
- Use Routine Outcome Measures (ROMS) and clinical tools to gather feedback and guide clinical practice.
- Collaborate with education colleagues and other EMHPs/CWPs to provide comprehensive support and services.
- Successful completion of the HEE/NHSE commissioned 1yr Education Mental Health Practitioner' course/Children's Wellbeing Practitioner course.
- Appropriate registration with either the BABCP or BPS as a low intensity practitioner.
- Experience of delivering specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families (CBT, solution-focused brief therapy).
- Ability to conduct mental health assessments, risk assessments, and communicate appropriately with children, young people, and parents.
