We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Mental Health Practitioner/CWP to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and young people in educational settings.
Key Responsibilities- Work in partnership with schools to support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their families in the self-management of presenting difficulties.
- Offer 1:1 sessions, group sessions, and whole school approaches to promote mental health and wellbeing.
- Complete robust assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and reviews to ensure effective service delivery.
- Use Routine Outcome Measures (ROMS) and clinical tools to gather feedback and guide clinical practice.
- Work alongside other EMHPs/CWPs and Senior Mental Health Practitioners to support learning and development.
- Successful completion of the HEE/NHSE commissioned 1yr Education Mental Health Practitioner' course/Children's Wellbeing Practitioner course.
- Appropriate registration with either the BABCP or BPS as a low intensity practitioner.
- Experience of delivering specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families (CBT, solution-focused brief therapy).
- Ability to conduct mental health assessments, risk assessments, and communicate appropriately with children, young people, and parents.
