Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Higher Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in the Blood Sciences department of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The successful candidate will be based primarily in the Grange University Hospital, with the possibility of rotating to other sites within the Health Board.
The role involves working in the Haematology/Blood transfusion Department, undertaking duties in various areas of the department, including registration of patient and test details, sorting and labelling of patient samples, and basic procedures relating to the testing process.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work, and the ability to work independently as part of a team. Previous experience may be beneficial, but full training will be provided for the role.
A salary of approximately £23,000-£28,000 per annum is expected, depending on experience.
