ADHD Support Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ADHD Support Worker to join our team at a small primary school in Poulton Le Fylde. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ADHD and strategies for support, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for working with children.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with ADHD, tailoring assistance to their unique learning styles and needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians to update them on the student's progress and discuss strategies for consistent support at home and school.
  • Communicate regularly with the teacher to discuss progress and adjustments to support plans.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine interest in supporting students with ADHD and a passion for working with children.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • An understanding of ADHD and the ability to implement effective strategies to support students.
  • Relevant experience or training in education, special education, or a related field is desirable.
