Primary School Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming primary school in Poulton-le-Fylde. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young learners in their early education.

This role involves working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment, supporting students' understanding of core subjects such as reading, writing, and maths. The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within Key Stage 1.

The ideal candidate will be patient, approachable, and passionate about supporting young children's learning and development. They will also possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

About the Role:
  • Support the Year 1 class teacher in planning and delivering educational activities.
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups to support students' understanding of core subjects.
  • Assist with classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Help monitor and record students' progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within Key Stage 1.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, is highly desirable.
  • Patient, approachable, and passionate about supporting young children's learning and development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer competitive pay rates, with salaries ranging from £12.90 to £13.50 per hour, dependent on experience. We also provide access to professional development courses and resources, as well as a supportive consultant who is dedicated to helping you succeed in this role.
