Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Electronics Engineering Expert to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing undergraduate Engineering Technology courses, developing partnerships with industry firms, and contributing to program and curriculum development.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop undergraduate Engineering Technology courses, including digital electronics, electronic devices, and industrial control systems.
  • Develop partnerships with industry firms to assure internships and field trips for students.
  • Contribute to program and curriculum development, ensuring the department's academic programs meet the needs of students and industry.
  • Advise and mentor students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic and career goals.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment and accreditation activities, ensuring the department's programs meet the highest standards.
  • Perform scholarly activities, submitting grant proposals for external funding to support research and education initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrable track record of successful teaching and scholarship, with a strong commitment to teaching excellence and ability to work collaboratively with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for all students.
