About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services (TAS) team as an Administrative Support Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with the Nursing team to provide administrative support and care for patients.

Main Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the administration of the unit, including dealing with internal and external colleagues, patients, and donors
  • Working on your own and as part of a small administrative team and a larger team of specialist nurses
  • Recording data for various aspects on spreadsheets
  • Supporting your line manager with meeting arrangements, including booking meeting rooms and creating agendas
  • Attending training and development sessions across the country
  • Operating basic therapeutic apheresis equipment after training
  • Providing basic care for patients, donors, and visitors during busy times

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with a minimum of GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualification. You should also have experience of working with electronic forms of communication, Microsoft Office packages, and confidentiality and General Data Protection Regulation issues.
