Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH Support

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1-2-1 and small group support for Key Stage 3 & 4 students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1-2-1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
  • Offer class support and run group activities.
  • Manage behaviours effectively and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Understand various special educational and SEMH needs.

Requirements:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or experience as a TA/Behaviour Mentor with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours.
  • Passionate about making a difference at an award-winning alternative provision.
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or special educational needs.
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Understanding of the Teaching Assistant/Classroom Assistant role.
