About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join ACES as a Theatre Practitioner, providing exceptional care and support to patients undergoing cataract surgery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting during procedures, conducting pre-operative assessments, and ensuring seamless patient discharge.

We are committed to delivering the highest standard of clinical eye care, with expert consultant ophthalmologists at the forefront of everything we do. With NHS waiting lists growing at an alarming rate, our pioneering approach provides patients with an alternative option for life-changing cataract surgery in just four weeks.

As a Theatre Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment, utilizing the latest technology and equipment to consistently deliver excellent clinical outcomes. Your contributions will play a vital role in reducing waiting times, delivering exceptional care without hospital stays, and positively impacting patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrub assistant
  • Anaesthetic assistant
  • Pre-operative assessments
  • Prepare patients for Cataract treatment and undertake pre-screening diagnostic duties
  • Discharge patients with after-care advice and medications
