About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our Orthopaedics team at Rivers Hospital. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our theatres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing expert scrub nursing care to patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery
  • Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of theatre equipment and supplies
  • Collaborating with the theatre team to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and theatre operations

Requirements

  • NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions
  • Senior level scrub experience in orthopaedics, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament repairs
  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) desirable but not essential
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Flexible and positive attitude, with a warm and empathetic character
