The University of Nottingham is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to contribute to the development of sustainable rechargeable batteries. The project aims to create defect-engineered manganese-based electrodes with enhanced features for zinc-air batteries.


Key Responsibilities

As a PhD researcher, you will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments to develop and evaluate innovative strategies for enhancing zinc-air battery development. You will work closely with our experienced team of researchers to optimize structure-function relationships and validate performance of novel cells.


Requirements and Qualifications

We are seeking a bright, highly motivated individual with a strong background in materials science, chemistry, physics, or a relevant discipline. The candidate should be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and be able to resolve challenges independently. Due to funding restrictions, this position is only available to UK/EU candidates with "home fee status".
