About the Role

This Lead Chemist will be responsible for researching and developing new materials and technologies to support our mission of creating sustainable concrete. The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, with a focus on materials science, and extensive experience in managing and leading R&D projects. You will also have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, as well as the ability to design experiments, evaluate performance, and provide technical guidance to team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for carbon utilization and storage.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance R&D goals and objectives.
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure project success.
  • Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • PhD in Chemistry or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant post-PhD experience in materials science, with a focus on carbon utilization.
  • Proven expertise in managing R&D projects, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Salary: £70,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
