We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a 111 Call Handler at South Central Ambulance Service NHS. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for answering calls from members of the public and providing them with the necessary support and guidance.
Main Responsibilities- Respond to incoming 111 calls and assess the needs of patients, providing appropriate advice and support.
- Utilize NHS Pathways, a clinical assessment tool, to ensure accurate and effective decision-making.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
- Good all-round education, including 2 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Competent in the use of IT systems and experience in a customer/patient services environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Full training and support to ensure your success in the role.
