A prominent regional M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of mechanical and electrical services on various projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tenders for M&E services
  • Conducting detailed measurement and valuation of works, ensuring accurate pricing
  • Managing subcontractor packages, including procurement, payment applications, and performance evaluations
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, providing financial forecasts and cash flow analysis
  • Identifying and managing variations, ensuring they are accurately recorded and valued
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Providing ongoing financial advice and support to project teams, ensuring profitability

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a contractor environment
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services or the construction industry
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and financial management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
  • Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
