CDM Recruitment is partnering with a prominent regional M&E contractor to recruit a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of mechanical and electrical services on various projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Accurate preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tenders for M&E services
  • Comprehensive measurement and valuation of works, ensuring accurate pricing and cost control
  • Effective management of subcontractor packages, including procurement, payment applications, and performance evaluations
  • Regular monitoring and reporting on project progress, providing financial forecasts and cash flow analysis
  • Identification and management of variations, ensuring they are accurately recorded and valued
  • Negotiation and management of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Providing ongoing financial advice and support to project teams, ensuring profitability
  • Preparation and submission of final accounts and closeout documentation
  • E nsurance of compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and contractual obligations
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a contractor environment
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services or the construction industry
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and financial management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
  • Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Chartered status with RICS or similar professional body is preferred but not essential
