This role offers a unique opportunity to join a leading M&E contractor as a Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of mechanical and electrical services on various projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tenders for M&E services
  • Conducting detailed measurement and valuation of works, ensuring accurate pricing and cost control
  • Managing subcontractor packages, including procurement, payment applications, and performance evaluations
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, providing financial forecasts and cash flow analysis
  • Identifying and managing variations, ensuring they are accurately recorded and valued
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Providing ongoing financial advice and support to project teams, ensuring profitability
  • Preparing and submitting final accounts and closeout documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and contractual obligations
Requirements and Benefits

To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a contractor environment. You should also have strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services or the construction industry, excellent negotiation, communication, and financial management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.

In return for your expertise and dedication, you will receive a competitive salary of £52,000 - £62,000 per annum, depending on experience, and an opportunity to work with a leading M&E contractor on exciting regional projects, career progression opportunities within a supportive and dynamic team, and ongoing professional development and training.
