About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Case Engineer to join our team at Assystem. As a key member of our risk and safety team, you will be responsible for leading projects and developing safety assessments for nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects for a range of clients across the UK nuclear industry, including new build projects, operating facilities, and decommissioning and waste management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and support bids for large and small projects and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement safety assessments and risk management strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with UK regulatory requirements and international standards and guidance, particularly relating to Nuclear Safety Assessment.
Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in the production of safety assessments for nuclear facilities.
  • A detailed understanding of UK regulatory requirements and international standards and guidance, particularly relating to Nuclear Safety Assessment.
