About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paralegal to take on a Team Leader role within our Managed Legal Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a small team of Legal Administrators, ensuring effective collaboration, task performance, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Line management of up to 10 Legal Administrators, including performance management, career development, discipline, and welfare support.
  • Workload Management: Actively manage work levels, quality, and resources within your Section, ensuring timely completion of tasks and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and supervise the quality and completion of tasks allocated to your Section workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Business Intelligence: Actively monitor Section metrics, identifying patterns and trends, and discussing findings with the Project Manager, Legal Lead, and MLS Operations Manager.
  • Process Improvement: Routinely monitor working methods with the MLS Operations Manager to identify inefficiencies and areas of risk, implementing changes to improve processes.
  • Knowledge Management: Take ownership of knowledge management and query log, escalating any queries that require further review.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with MS Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is essential, as well as leadership and people management skills and experience of line management.
  • Communication: Good communication skills to articulate information verbally, visually, and in writing in a clear, concise fashion are required.
  • Legal Experience: Legal experience is preferred, as is experience with Legal or banking case management systems.
