About the RoleFully accountable for the performance of the operation, you will proactively seek ways to improve cost, service, and operational efficiency. Ensure all resources, including third-party services, are managed, planned, and controlled to achieve agreed service levels.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all areas of the warehouse sortation in an efficient and cost-effective manner to ensure depot key KPIs are achieved.
- Assist the Depot General Manager in managing and controlling the budget to achieve agreed service levels, including productivity, labour costs, overtime usage, and agency usage.
- Deal with depot recruitment as authorized by the Depot General Manager, adhering to Company standards.
- Maintain the health, safety, and welfare of all employees and visitors, and control the overall security of the depot.
- Comply with health and safety regulations by ensuring Safe Systems of work, risk assessments, accident investigations, and reporting are completed and reviewed regularly.
- Performance manage direct reports, setting and monitoring key objectives.
- Adhere to the legal requirements of the 'O' Licence.
- Ensure the Company security processes are maintained at all times, and the control/safekeeping of all company assets are maintained.
We are seeking a VERY STRONG MAN MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE candidate who can work on their own initiative in a pressurized environment to tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, have an understanding of Transport regulations, and be a good communicator able to liaise at all levels.
A numerate self-starter with a flexible approach to work to meet business requirements, you will be responsible for managing the depot's operations, ensuring efficient cost, service, and operational efficiency.
