About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to lead our Cycling and Urban Mobility team at Decathlon. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing your team, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of Sales Advisors to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and improve customer engagement.
  • Manage inventory levels, including restocking and inventory counts, to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with our Commercial Team to prepare commercial plans and stay up-to-date on product knowledge within the department.
  • Generate and analyze sales reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform business decisions and drive improvement.
  • Implement and maintain operational procedures and policies during assigned duty hours to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a retail or sales environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
