Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Workflow: Oversee the creation to completion of assigned tasks, ensuring smooth production processes.
- Staff Performance Management: Monitor team members' performance, ensuring they are motivated and meeting targets.
- Component Assembly and Distribution: Assemble and distribute components for orders and stock to the relevant department.
- Weekly Production Planning: Plan production based on the production schedule and sales orders.
- Staff Allocation and Coordination: Coordinate with despatch and production supervisors to allocate staff effectively.
- Stock Management: Collaborate with procurement to manage stock levels, addressing any discrepancies.
- Inventory Record Keeping: Ensure accurate documentation of stock movements and maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Waste Management: Manage waste products and address any spills or damages in line with company policies.
- Work Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe work environment, eliminating hazards like slips and trips.
- Quality Control: Monitor and resolve quality control issues, ensuring consistent high standards.
- Staff Training: Provide staff training on operational practices, including weighing scales, waste and chemical handling, labelling, and the use of equipment such as pump and sack trucks.
- Safe Working Practices: Promote and enforce safe working practices, particularly within the distribution centre.
- Team Coverage: Ensure adequate team coverage during your absence.
- Meetings and Training: Attend weekly/monthly meetings and training sessions.
- Company Growth: Contribute to company growth as part of the implementation team.
- Label Room Oversight: Oversee the label room and ensure all labels are handled responsibly.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Counterbalance and Reach Truck Certification:
- Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership role within production or labelling.
- Organisational and Communication Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to meet targets.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00.
