We are seeking a seasoned Production Team Leader to oversee the smooth operation of our labelling department in Cheltenham. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £26,000 per annum, along with opportunities for career advancement within the company.
As a Production Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring efficient production processes, and leading a motivated team. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the daily workflow from creation to completion of assigned tasks.
- Monitoring staff performance to ensure team members are motivated and meeting targets.
- Assembling and distributing components for orders and stock to the relevant department.
- Planning weekly production based on the production schedule and sales orders.
- Coordinating with the despatch and production supervisors to allocate staff effectively.
- Collaborating with procurement to manage stock levels and address any discrepancies.
- Ensuring accurate documentation of stock movements and maintaining up-to-date inventory records.
- Managing waste products and addressing any spills or damages in line with company policies.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, eliminating hazards like slips and trips.
- Monitoring and resolving quality control issues to ensure consistent high standards.
- Providing staff training on operational practices, including weighing scales, waste and chemical handling, labelling, and the use of equipment such as pump and sack trucks.
- Promoting and enforcing safe working practices, particularly within the distribution centre.
- Ensuring adequate team coverage during your absence.
- Attending weekly/monthly meetings and training sessions.
- Contributing to company growth as part of the implementation team.
- Overseeing the label room and ensuring all labels are handled responsibly.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by management.
