About the Job:

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Service as a Band 6 specialist in neurology. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of occupational therapy interventions for individuals with complex neurological diagnoses. They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To assess and develop treatment plans for individuals with complex neurological conditions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
  • To implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions, using evidence-based practice guidelines and standards of care.
  • To provide leadership and supervision to junior staff, supporting their professional development and ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • To participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our service through innovation and best practice.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist (minimum 18 months)
  • Previous experience of working in the UK or a similar health economy
  • Post-registration courses completed in relevant topics, such as cognition
