Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join our Central South team. As a Senior Cost Manager, you'll work on a range of industry-leading infrastructure projects, developing your skillset both operationally and technically.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other project stakeholders.
- Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
- Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow.
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives.
- Manage contract change effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
- Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and budgeting.
- Provide commercial knowledge and support to stakeholders.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Lead people and commissions as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience or a sound understanding of contract management, cost management, change management, valuation, risk management, procurement, estimating, pricing, reporting, and collaborative approach.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
- Professional body membership or equivalent.
