We are seeking a talented Senior Contracts Engineer to join our team at PWS Technical Services (UK) Ltd. This challenging role requires an individual with a strong technical background and experience in managing contracts for piling, foundations, and geotechnical engineering projects.

The successful candidate will have the day-to-day responsibility for the safe, timely, and profitable delivery of various projects, including managing site-based teams and resolving technical, operational, and commercial issues. They will also be responsible for planning, programming, and delivering contracts in conjunction with the regional team, internal departments, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in a contracts or projects engineering/management role, with experience in developing and delivering projects with a diplomatic and pragmatic approach. They should also have first-hand exposure to technically complex and challenging contracts, as well as experience in managing a variety of projects, including multi-discipline techniques.

The salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus an extensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage contracts for piling, foundations, and geotechnical engineering projects
  • Plan, program, and deliver contracts in conjunction with the regional team, internal departments, and subcontractors
  • Take responsibility for all assigned projects, including review of estimates and designs to ensure buildability
  • Attend pre-contract and regular site meetings with clients, agents, and key subcontractors
  • Inspect works in progress to ensure conformance to QA procedures and specification
  • Ensure HSEQ plans and RAMS are prepared for contracts in accordance with company policy
  • Provide technical and operational input into estimates for schemes
  • Assist in preparation of proposals during the pre-tender phase

Requirements:

  • Possessing a proven track record in a contracts or projects engineering/management role
  • Experience in developing and delivering projects with a diplomatic and pragmatic approach
  • First-hand exposure to technically complex and challenging contracts
  • Experience in managing a variety of projects, including multi-discipline techniques
  • Solid understanding of all stages of the project contracting process
  • Able to identify requirements of assigned projects to efficiently produce the most appropriate delivery plan or programme
  • Correspond and negotiate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and colleagues
