Junior Rowing Development Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced coach to join our team as an Assistant Lead Coach - Junior Rowing Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, leading, and delivering coaching sessions for our junior rowers across all squads, covering land and water sessions throughout the week and on weekends.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in junior rowing coaching, with experience working with athletes between J14-J18 and J17-J18. A British Rowing Level 2 coaching award and RYA Powerboat 2 certification are essential requirements for this role.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with our Head of Rowing and Co-Captains to develop and implement coaching programs that cater to the needs of our junior rowers. This is a part-time role, with a flexible schedule of 12-16 hours per week, depending on the candidate's availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead, and deliver coaching sessions for junior rowers

  • Develop and maintain relationships with junior rowers, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the overall success of the rowing club

Requirements:

  • British Rowing Level 2 coaching award
  • RYA Powerboat 2 certification
  • Experience working with junior rowers (J14-J18 and J17-J18)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
