We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Care and Support Professional in one of our Family Residences.

Barnardo's, a leading children's charity, has embarked on an innovative journey with Leicestershire County Council to provide exceptional care for vulnerable children and young people. Our Welland House family residence offers a safe and nurturing environment, providing support to families with complex needs.

About the Role:

  • Establish trust and develop meaningful relationships with service users, promoting their independence, wellbeing, and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure seamless support.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including cooking and household duties.
  • Diligently document information and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Proactively create a secure environment at all times.

Essential Requirements:

  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to obtain it within the specified timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people in a children's home setting.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As a member of our team, you will be based at Welland House but may be required to travel to other locations throughout the locality.
