About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting our chefs to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and ensure the kitchen runs effectively and safely
  • Manage stock, health and safety, and hygiene practices
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff
  • Recruit and manage kitchen team members
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to achieve kitchen goals and objectives

Requirements
  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cleaning, and hygiene practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and build rapport and trust
  • Strong knowledge of best practice around rota scheduling, sales and labour forecasts, reporting, recruitment, HR etc.
