Job Title: Executive Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our catering team at Spire Cardiff. As a key member of our hospital's management team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality dining experience to our patients, consultants, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of the kitchen, restaurant, and ward hostess team
  • Maintain a 5-star food rating
  • Effectively manage and plan the day-to-day catering for the hospital
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
  • Responsible for Food Safety Standards within the hospital
  • Ensure Allergen controls are strictly followed
  • Active hands-on chef role

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working in a managerial position in a hospital/healthcare environment
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment to high-quality standards
  • City and Guilds or equivalent qualification
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3)
  • Advanced qualification/s in Food Hygiene or a relevant catering qualification
  • Ability to adapt menus to meet special dietary requirements
  • Experience of managing a budget – desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
