Executive Chef Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our catering team at Spire Cardiff.

The successful candidate will oversee the catering and hostess functions of the hospital, delivering a customer-focused, five-star experience to all patients, consultants, and colleagues. They will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene, ensuring a 5-star food rating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the kitchen, restaurant, and ward hostess team
  • Plan and execute daily catering operations
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Implement and maintain food safety standards
  • Manage allergen controls
  • Work actively as a chef

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a managerial position in a hospital or healthcare environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with high-quality standards
  • City and Guilds or equivalent qualification
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3)
  • Advanced qualification in Food Hygiene or a relevant catering qualification
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Regulations
  • Ability to adapt menus for special dietary requirements
  • Experience in managing a budget (desirable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Working Hours:

Full-time, Monday to Friday, with shifts on a rota basis, including weekends.
