**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team in providing specialist mental health services to adults with complex needs, including learning disabilities, mental health needs, ASD, and challenging behavior.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to deliver high-quality care programs, tailored to the individual needs of our service users.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic specialist to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Deliver specialist mental health care programs, working closely with individuals, groups, families, and staff teams
  • Provide consultation and advice to other healthcare colleagues, sharing specialist knowledge and expertise
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff teams, enhancing their skills and confidence in working with complex cases
  • Contribute to the development of the mental health service, working collaboratively with colleagues to drive forward innovative initiatives and improve service outcomes

**Requirements**

  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or related field, accredited by the HCPC
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council as a practitioner psychologist under the appropriate domain
  • Experience of specialist mental health assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
