Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Older Adults Community Mental Health Team - Central. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to older adult people with mental health needs, across Havering - Central.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current developments in mental health care and be able to demonstrate their values align with ours. As a key member of the team, you will provide senior medical support and guidance, work directly with older adults and their families, and participate in the on-call rota.

About the Role:

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to older adult people with mental health needs.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  • Work directly with older adults and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external older adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Participate in the on-call rota with a 3% on-call supplement.

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • CCT or equivalent.
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it.
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.

Salary: £123,000 - £145,158 per annum (pro rata). Benefits include relocation expenses, career development opportunities, and a comprehensive reward package.
