Job Title: Estates Support Officer

Protocol National Limited is seeking an experienced Estates Support Officer to join their dedicated estates team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the College's building stock, ensuring they meet high standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and ensure the availability, cleanliness, and functionality of teaching facilities, including furniture, fixtures, and fittings, to provide a high-quality student experience.
  • Perform minor repairs on-site, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaking taps, touching up paintwork, repairing door handles, and toilet cisterns.
  • Escalate additional works and repairs to the helpdesk promptly.
  • Ensure daily emptying of bins, sweeping debris within car parks and grounds, and litter picking throughout the day.
  • Monitor the performance of outsourced cleaners and grounds staff.
  • Conduct small ground works, such as repairing potholes and performing grounds maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with furniture, equipment, and office moves as required.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar handyman or caretaker role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties required, including lifting and moving furniture and equipment.
