At Shawbrook Bank, we're seeking a seasoned Commercial Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our credit risk management function, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the bank's lending activities are aligned with our risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our lending business, including credit risk management, credit administration, and loan production and servicing.
  • Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with our lending activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective risk management strategies, including credit risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on credit risk management best practices, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach across the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks, applying this knowledge to inform our risk management strategies and policies.
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in business finance, with a strong background in credit risk management.
  • Proven track record of success in assessing and mitigating credit risk, with a deep understanding of lending practices, structures, risks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to think strategically and provide expert advice on credit risk management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
