Healthcare Assistant

The National Health Service (NHS) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join its Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a male prison located near Bicester. This exciting opportunity offers a full-time position with a competitive salary up to £31,491 per annum, depending on experience.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care for patients. You will be expected to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery. The successful candidate will work across all areas of the service, including Primary Care, Early Day, and Substance Misuse.

To be eligible for this role, candidates must have a Legal right to work in the UK and undergo additional vetting and security checks due to the nature of the position. A NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care is required, along with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach. Good IT skills and IT literacy are essential, as well as the ability to work within a busy environment and unsupervised while following policy and procedures. Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
