Our client, a highly successful organisation, is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join their team in Redhill, Surrey. The role offers a hybrid working pattern, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home after training.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, including calculations, record-keeping, and timely payments. They will also be responsible for managing payroll data, analysing pay costs, and monitoring staff absences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Manage payroll data, including pay costs, staff absences, and pension arrangements.
  3. Prepare and submit statutory returns, including PAYE, NI, and pension returns.
  4. Coordinate with budget holders and nominees to ensure compliance with payroll procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation, including payslips and year-end documents.
  6. Provide excellent customer service and support to the Finance department.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll and pension procedures.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
