Job Title: Data Governance Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to join our team at Sykes Cottages Limited.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive data, ensuring confidential material is secure and not leaked to unauthorized staff, customers, or external parties.
  2. Support and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to address data protection queries and ensure all processes are privacy-compliant.
  3. Lead a monthly compliance review meeting with key stakeholders, discussing findings and assigning corrective actions where necessary.
  4. Group compliance with data protection and privacy laws.
  5. The Group and each division's continuously documented data protection and privacy-related setup.
  6. Data protection and privacy policies and processes, creation, roll-out, training, and monitoring.
  7. Trusted advisor to Group on matters touching personal data, and creation of paperwork connected to this.
  8. Data protection and privacy reporting and advice.
  9. Regular data protection and privacy-related auditing.
  10. Data protection and privacy strategy and horizon scanning.
  11. Satisfaction of data subject requests.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

Location: To be discussed with the hiring manager.
