Night Support Worker

As a Night Support Worker with Two Saints, you will be part of a dynamic team providing 24/7 support for young people aged 16-21 care leavers and looked after children. Our aim is to empower young people to gain life skills and move on to lower or independent supported living.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for young people, identifying and minimising potential risks.
  • Provide informal support and be a listening ear for young people.
  • Respond to telephone calls and visits from external staff.
  • Work within organisational and local authorities' safeguarding procedures to ensure young people's safety.
  • Manage young people and visitors in external areas and address associated safety issues.
  • Deal with incidents and contact external services when necessary.
  • Provide detailed handovers to day staff regarding young people's safety and support information.
  • Perform light cleaning tasks when required.
  • Manage building issues/maintenance according to relevant procedures.
  • Complete internal and external health & safety checks and record information accurately on internal systems.
  • Triage out-of-hours issues and contact the on-call manager when applicable.

Requirements:

  • Clear verbal and written English.
  • Good IT and keyboard skills.
  • Polite, assertive manner and ability to self-motivate.
  • Comfortable with lone working.
  • Passion for working in a client/customer-facing role.
