About the Role

The Grocery & Retail business is a key growth area for Uber, driving reliable on-demand delivery from a wide range of retailers to customers who need it most. As the Head of UK Grocery Account Management, you will be at the forefront of this dynamic team, tasked with forging and deepening strategic partnerships with leading retailers across the UK. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of the UK's grocery and retail environment as part of the Uber Eats leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Partnerships: Develop and implement a dynamic strategy to enhance relationships with top-tier partners, identifying new opportunities and creating compelling value propositions to drive significant growth.
  2. Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performance team of Account Managers, fostering collaboration, mentoring, and guiding them to excel in partnership growth, negotiation, and relationship management.
  3. Executive Relationship Management: Represent Uber Eats at the highest levels, building and maintaining strategic relationships with C-suite executives at leading grocery partners to create mutually beneficial growth opportunities.
  4. Data-Driven Optimization: Use data insights to continuously refine partner programs, extract category insights, and identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring the success of partner initiatives.
  5. Operational Excellence: Collaborate closely with internal and partner teams to optimize SKU range, pricing, and promotions on the platform, ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
  6. Innovation & Market Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying emerging technologies and opportunities to elevate partner offerings, and drive strategic innovation and collaboration.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in team management within strategic partnerships, specifically in Grocery, FMCG, E-commerce, or Retail.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and coach teams to meet and exceed commercial goals.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with a deep understanding of commercial acumen and negotiation, adept at handling large data volumes and complex problem-solving.
  • Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new products or services within the retail, grocery, and/or e-commerce sectors.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance) to achieve common objectives.
  • Passion for Uber Eats' mission and a strong belief in the transformative power of strategic partnerships within the grocery delivery and retail landscape.
  • Bachelor's degree.
